Verónica Romero is a General Health Psychologist and PhD in Psychology with international mention and Extraordinary PhD Award from the Complutense University of Madrid. She also holds a master's degree in Biostatistics from the Complutense University of Madrid and a master's in Microbiota, Probiotics and Prebiotics from the European University of Madrid.

Her main line of research is cognitive processes, and especially social cognition and emotions, both in the general population and in people diagnosed with a severe mental disorder.
